You have the right to have a name which is also a part of your identity. Your name is chosen and registered after you are born, therefore, your parents have the right to choose your name and have it registered by the State. 

Both your right to have a name and your parents’ right to choose a name for you are protected by the human right which is called the right to a private and a family life.
