Demetra is a non-governmental organization working with vulnerable social groups.

The main objective of the association is to provide early diagnosis and prevention of HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), to improve the integration of the vulnerable and socially excluded, while reducing the spread of HIV and STIs in society and raising public awareness of their importance.

How can it help you

Free tests

The organisation provides free and anonymous testing for HIV, Hepatitis C and B and STIs. You can find all the addresses where they are available on the organisation's website. The centre also offers free contraceptives and specialist advice.

Harm reduction programme

The organisation runs a harm reduction programme for people addicted to psychoactive substances and provides counselling and referrals for people seeking treatment for addiction or admission to a substitution therapy programme.

Support for people living with HIV

The organisation works to integrate people living with HIV into the health care system and retain them there, provides counselling and motivation for HIV treatment, and encourages adherence to a treatment regimen that is scientifically proven to reduce the spread of HIV.
